We pride ourselves on going above and beyond industry standards by offering comprehensive medical and surgical care for every stage of your pet's life. This includes full preventive care, heartworm testing, vaccines, parasite control, senior health screening, and spay/neuter surgeries. In addition we provide state-of-the-art, in-house laboratory services, dental care, ultrasound exams, digital radiology, pharmacy, soft tissue surgery, blood and plasma transfusions, oxygen therapy, chemotherapy, and overnight care.
We will stay and monitor admitted sick pets overnight. There is no need for most patients to be treated at Metropolitan Veterinary Center to tranfer to another facility at night. We have a fully-equipped hospital and the substantial experience needed to manage emergency and critical care patients. This allows for continuity of care, with a practice you trust, and much-needed convenience and cost savings for you. Our veterinarians have a wealth of proven experience in emergency medicine and surgery. It will be a rare case that is beyond our expertise.
We are open daily from 7am to 10pm. We offer free client parking, and are conveniently located in Chicago's South Loop, easily accessible from the entire city and surrounding area. Our goal is to provide the best service of any veterinary hospital in Chicago.
